That’s me taking the candidates oath. Yes, I did get emotional. These days, especially, DEMOCRACY and services merit a few tears.
I am a lifelong resident of Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and San José and a mother of two Morgan Hill public school students. Every day, as a Student Support Specialist in the Morgan Hill Unified School District, I help students and families overcome economic hardship, attendance challenges, and other obstacles to success.
I earned a nursing degree and graduated from youth leadership programs. These experiences taught me to listen carefully, bring people together, and understand that physical health, mental well-being, safety, and academic progress are inseparable.
My priorities are safe schools, strong academics, less screen time in the classroom, effective special education and mental health services, support for teachers, and meaningful pathways to college, careers, and skilled trades. Excellent schools create safer neighborhoods, protect property values, and prepare young people to become responsible, productive members of our community. I will bring strong oversight to the Santa Clara County Office of Education to support our local students while maintaining a responsible budget and making sure every taxpayer dollar delivers results.
My work has earned the support of a broad coalition of parents, labor organizations, business leaders, and elected officials.
I humbly ask for your vote.
